Obituary

Allie R. Brooks, 86, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away November 4, 2024 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church near Liberty. She loved reading her bible and to be around her family and friends and teach the word of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents Winnie and Albert Reid; her husband Donald R. Brooks; two brothers Willard Reid and Charles Reid; three sisters Betty Bowlin, Mary Ann Harvey, and Winnie Lou Reid; and son-in-law Mike Moore.

She is survived by her two daughters Becky Moore, (Keith Brown) and Stephanie McDaniel (Dicky McDaniel; one son Donald Ray Brooks Jr., one sister Sarah McKlemurry; her granddaughter Courtny Moore Sheets (Randall); greatgrandchildren Scarlett Sharp Zachary and Genell Sheets; grandson Tate McDaniel, Klye Brooks (Kayla), Brody and Lane; special granddaughter Kasey Everitt; sister in law Pauline Foster; a host of nieces and nephews, and some very special friends and family.

Visitation is Friday November 8, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, MS. from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.  Visitation Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Joe Law. Graveside service will follow in New Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Kyle Brooks, Tate McDaniel, Dusty Meche, Joe Law, and Rocky Reid.
