Obituary

Alton Perry Sr.,  79, of Crosby, Mississippi, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at his residence near Crosby.  He was born October 25, 1938 in Adams County, MS., the son of Jessie Mitchell and Eva Rae Oaks Perry.


Alton was a Welder by trade, a member of First Pentecostal Church of Natchez,   U.S. Army Veteran, and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margie Freeman Perry; two children Melissa Darlene and Gary Alton Perry Jr. and  Nancy.    Seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Christina, Catherne, Calvin, Misti, and Delia; twelve great grandchildren; two nephews; one special sister-in-law, Rachel Dennison; and two brother in laws, Robert and Clayton Freeman.


He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Mitchell Perry:  his mother, Eva Rae Oaks Perry;  two sisters, Frances Joyce and Yvonne Renee; and grandson Michael James.


Visitation is Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS., from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.   Visitation Monday, May 7, is from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services   at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, officiated  by Rev. James Johnson.  Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
