Obituary

We remember Angela Lynn Sterling, whose sprit was ushered into heaven by the angels on May 7, 2025 at the age of 61. She was born in Centreville, MS. on August 3, 1963 to parents Gerald Sterling and Linda McCurley Sterling. She was a longtime resident of Urania, LA.

"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God." MT 5:9.                                                                                             This verse comes to mind when you think of Angie because she was known as a sweet-spirited, kind, quiet, person with a beautiful smile who was known to keep the peace. Angie didn't want anyone to be upset. She did things her way to keep the peace. Those of us that knew her, knew some of her peacemaking skills like, agreeing when really she didn't.

She had a determination to make it to the end. She was not giving up no matter how hard the struggle. One of her accomplishments that showed her determination was graduating as a Registered Nurse from Northwestern LA University at a later time in her life; which led to a career as an ICU nurse at Winn Parish Medical Center for 20+ years.

Angie also fought a battle with an illness that had constant struggles. But she never gave up-she showed determination and grit. She was fighter and an overcomer.

Angie lived her life for others always putting them first. She helped raise her niece, Le'Ana and "THE BOYS", Hunter and Keifer. Her dedication and love for them was seen by all who knew her.

Angie enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She was always ready to go and led the way on many trips. Some of her favorite spots were New York, Branson, Florida, Gulf Shores, and The Smokies. She also liked watching tv shows and movies, so if you wanted to know what to watch, ask Angie. She loved eating out with family. We often wondered "where will Angie and Hunter dine tonight?"

Angie leaves behind family who love her and will greatly miss her. She is survived by her father Gerald Sterling; by her brother Gary Sterling (Linda) all of Liberty; her nephew Garrett of New Orleans. But the ones who truly will not know how to do life without her are her Urania-Kelly Louisiana family, niece Leana Sterling Moore (Troy), and her  nephews, Leana"s Boys: Hunter and Keifer McNemar.

Angie also treasured her time with her cousin, Beverly Donaldson (Babs), who made her last days a little sweeter because she was there to comfort and show compassion like no other could, a true gift.

She has loved ones who are waiting on her in heaven; her mother Linda McCurley Sterling; her brothers Michael and Don Sterling; her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
