Anita Louise "Peanut" Shelton, 86, passed away at her home November 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Anita was born in Center Point, La, May 24, 1939, to Nathan and Berta Campbell Johnson. She was a loving mother, MaMaw, and great grandmother. She was a homemaker, avid reader and gardener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence "Bucky" Shelton, 1 sister Linda Faulkner, 1 brother Michael Johnson, son in law Wynn Johnson, and daughter in law Janis Shelton.

She is survived by 9 children, Jessy Shelton (Susan), Nicky Shelton, Gwendolyn "Tink" Causey, Sherry Johnson, Vickie Rushing (Chris), Jody Shelton (Cathy), Nathan Shelton (Kristina), Heather "Shelly" Shelton, April Thomas (Heath), 21 grandkids, 39 great grandkids, 5 sisters, 1 brother, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pall bears will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 17th from 10 AM to 12 PM with services at 12 PM at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Bryce Dobson officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Memorial Cemetery near Gloster, MS.
