Archie Wayne Wilkins Sr., owner of Diamond Enterprises and a resident of Gloster, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Saturday July 2, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital after a long struggle with numerous health issues, surrounded by his family.

Archie was the oldest of seven children. He was born into this world on January 20, 1941 in Natchez, Mississippi, to William Dempsey and Maida Cornelia Hopkins Wilkins. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Charlene Bennett Wilkins; nine children, Bridget Wilkins LeBlanc, Archie Wayne Wilkins Jr. and Sherrie, Dale Wilkins and Bonnie, Leah Wilkins Jones and Jerry, Doug Bennett and Laurie, Dwain Bennett and Wendy, Tara Houck, Tommy Pace and D'Nean, and stepson Glenn Stevens and Rachael; ten grandchildren, Damon Leblanc and Jaimie, Brittany Buhler and Rhett, Chase Wilkins and Samantha, Sydni Welch and Bailey, Shelby Wilkins, Ty Wilkins and Bailey, Jordan Wilkins and Brittany, Robert Mitchell, Amanda LaCombe and "Reese", and Aven Wilkins;  ten great grandchildren, Brenden and Grayson Leblanc, Cason, Liam and Halle Buhler, Emma Grace and Brinley Welch, Dawson Wilkins, Avy Lacombe, and not born yet Rance Wilkins, due July 25; three siblings, Lynda Mae Lawlor, William "Bill" Wilkins and Donna Sue, and Sylvia Gray, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son Mark Aven Wilkins; two sisters Lola Cornelia Wilkins and Dimple Wilkins Allen; brother Alfred Ray Wilkins.

Visitation is Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, Mississippi, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.  Also visitation Friday 10:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home, officiated by Brother Ken Ensminger. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.

Pallbearers are Marcus Ty Wilkins, Robert Mitchell, Chase Wilkins, Damon LaBlanc, Jason Stubs, Bill Wilkins, Glenn Stevens, and Jordan Wilkins.   Honorary pallbearer is Rusty Stewart.
