Austin Ray Newsom, 26, a resident of Walker, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Walker, LA.  He was born July 25,1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is the son of Angie Roubique and Marvin Newsom.

He was a loving father, brother, son and friend. He attended the Youth Challenge Program in Shreveport, LA., where he obtained his GED and graduated with the highest honors as a 5-star cadet. He also received 2 college credits through Bossier Community College.

He is survived by his mother Angie Roubique; father Marvin Newsom; daughter Hadley Ellzey; sisters Tiffany Newsom and Hannah Roubique; grandparents Judy Coody, Annette Newsom, and Johnny Newson, Sr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ray Coody.

Visitation is Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Daniel Gutierrez. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Cemetery near Gloster, MS.
