Avon McGee was born 8/22/1934 in Wilkinson County Mississippi and passed away on January 30, 2021 in Spring Branch Texas.
Avon was proceeded in death by his wife Nora S McGee, son Johnny McGee, grandson John McGee, parents Frank McGee and Geneva Ashley Havard, grandparents Cisley and Louis Ashley, step father Jack Havard, brother Alvin Havard, step brother CJ Havard and three step sisters Pauline, Willimae, and Hazel.
Avon was a native of Baton Rouge La. for 59 years and was self employed. He loved his family and is survived by daughters Yvonne Buxton, Jenny Kim Landry, Shirley Quintela and husband Michael Quintela, son Robert McGee and his wife Jill McGee, daughter in-law Lynn McGee, 14 grand children, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother Donald Havard and sister in-laws Marie and Sadi Havard. Pallbarrers will be grandsons.
Visitation is Monday, February 8, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery.
Due to the Covid-19, we request that you wear a mask and practice social distancing while inside the building. If you have been exposed to it, have one or more of the symptoms, or just feel bad, we respectfully ask you not to attend the services.
