Barney Wall Stevens, Jr, 52, of Liberty, MS passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.

Barney was born on August 8, 1969, the son of Barney Wall Stevens, Sr and Barbara Jean Bryant Stevens, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a truck driver until back problems caused him to retire.

Barney is survived by his son Justin Cole Stevens, and stepson Andrew (Drew) McNichols and wife Jessica Lynn McNichols, grandson Cade McNichols: sisters LaKeita M. Stevens, Barbara Ann Stevens and Debra D. Butler; brother-in-law Jabez W. Butler; nieces Geena Marie Butler and Victoria Ann Laird; nephew Garrett Dillion Wade Butler; and Aunt Marie Everett of Ohio. Numerous cousins that had a special place in his heart.

Visitation is Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 5pm until 8pm and Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 9am until services at 11am at Brown Funeral Home, Gloster, MS. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery #2 on Lower Gloster Road.

Pallbearers will be Cole Stevens, Drew McNichols, Larry Thomas, Grover Havard, Robert Earl Havard and Trey Havard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Shorty Simmons, Bud Havard and Donald Havard.
