Bernice Bates Ray, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her residence near Liberty. She was born September 15, 1947 in McComb, MS. the daughter of Elliot C. Bates and Bernette Foreman Bates. She married Sanford Ray. She was a beautician for many years, and a member of the Liberty Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by one son Sandy Ray; and four grandchildren, Madelyn, Kalyn, Sonny, and Braylen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elliot C. Bates and Bernette Foreman Bates, and her husband Sanford Ray. Family graveside services are Saturday, May 2, at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty Mississippi.
