Bettie Jean Kennedy, 82, of Tylertown, Ms., passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.

She was born September 27, 1939 in Copiah County, Mississippi.  She was the daughter of the late Rufus Hinds Franklin Sr. and Orlena Sheppard Franklin. She married Claude Kennedy who also precedes her in death, as well as brother Rufus Franklin Jr. and wife Connie. She was member of Whittington Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette Rollinson and husband Scottie; three grandchildren, Jessica Whittington, David Rollinson and wife Michelle, and Barney Rollinson and wife Lorin; great grandchildren, Gage Rollinson, Makayla Rollinson, Kyra Gracie Jean Rollinson, Alaina Rollinson, and Ryder Rollinson; sister Virginia Kirkland and husband Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family she loved.

Visitation is Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.at Whittington Memorial United Methodist Church, on King Road and Hwy 567, Liberty, MS.  Visitation resumes Monday, November 22, from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M.at the church, officiated by Rev. Jack Whittington. Interment will follow in Whittington Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Barney Rollinson, David Rollinson, Gage Rollinson, Kirk Whittington, Ryan Case, and Quine Travis.

Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Bowen, Jerry Kirkland, and Scottie Rollinson.
