Betty Nevels Stevens Wilkins , 77, of Gloster, Mississippi, passed away  peacefully at her home, surrounded by her beloved family, on Friday July 6, 2018. Born into this world on February 14, 1941, Betty was one of nine children blessed to parents Marlin and Ruth Nevels of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband Archie Wilkins, sons Glenn Stevens and wife Rachael, and Ricky Stevens; grandchildren Dan Stevens and wife Dearing; DeLacy  McLachlan and husband Michael; Slade Stevens; Willie Louviere and husband Sam;  Holt Stevens and wife Allie;  great-grandchildren Toby Grace and Emery Lynn Stevens, Rylie Ann and Brooks McLachlan, Logan and Addie Claire Louviere, Holton Breaux, Londyn Albarado, and Aiden, Chandler, and Jordan Montet; step-children Bridget LeBlanc, Wayne Wilkins, Dale Wilkins, Leah Jones, Doug Bennett, Dwayne Bennett, Tara Hough; and three siblings, Wilma Brownell, Sadie Hewitt and Marvin Nevels, along with numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Wren, and Joseph; her sisters, Edith Adcock, Eva Ivy, and her step-son, Mark Wilkins.
Betty was a born entrepreneur who successfully owned and operated a variety of businesses including Betty Stevens Real Estate for over 30 years where she was named Realtor of the Year in 1989 by the Southwest Mississippi Board of Realtors, a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 25 years, Betty's Attic which featured antiques and gifts, Dixieland Fried Chicken,  and Diamond Enterprise Inc.
Betty prided herself through her public works, serving as past President of the Gloster Chamber of Commerce, founding member of the Wilk-Amite Lions Club, and a devoted supporter of Pines Hills Academy.

Betty was a member of First Assembly of God in Gloster.

Visitation is Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday, July 9, from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Monday, at the funeral home.   Interment  in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster
