Bettye Marie Clowers, 68, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at her residence near Gloster, Mississippi.   She was born March 16, 1951 in Woodville, Texas, the daughter of Oscar Clowers and Minnie Irene Price Clowers. She was a caregiver most of her life , taking care of babies; and she recently attended Mary Springs Church of God of Prophecy near Gloster.  Mrs. Clowers is survived by one daughter, Kim McElhatten; two sons, Kurt Gassett and wife Patty, and Joshua Quebedeaux and wife Alicia; seven grandchildren, Lindsey, Kristen, Cody, Emily, Danielle, Peyton, and Emma; two great-grandchildren, Cambron and Amelia; one brother Rudy Clowers and one sister Patricia Clowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Henry, James, Ducky, and Ramond; and three sisters, Katherine, Inez, and Mary.  All of the services are in Woodville, Texas, at Riley Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday, December 8, 2019, and funeral services are Monday, December 9, 2019 at Riley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Warren Cemetery.
