Bobby Quinn Maxwell 85, of Liberty, departed this earthly life July 25, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was often referred from childhood as "Punkin".

He retired from the pipeline as a journey man. He never wanted to go far from his roots of Liberty. He enjoyed the outdoors from training beagles to rabbit hunt, trout lining the Amite River, raising calves and cows to growing large gardens to share with many. At the end of a day he was found on the front porch of his house in the rocking chair with his feet propped up on the rail.

Bobby is survived by his daughter Bobbie Vine(Don); two grandchildren, Ashley Maxwell and Kyle Cobb(Kaylin); three great grandchildren, Carmen Recher, Madelyn Cobb and Colsen Cobb, and special friend Lynn Mann.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Mary Gay Maxwell; parents Robin and Myrtis Maxwell; three sisters, Nita David, Nell Pourciau, and Willie Mae Otts, and two brothers Charles Avery Maxwell and James "Peck" Maxwell, special nephew Jeffrey Maxwell.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away". Visitation is Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, Mississippi, from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Greg Beaty. Graveside service will follow in Liberty, Cemetery.
