Bruce "Oz" Morgan

Bruce "Oz" Morgan passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2025, in Liberty, Mississippi, at the age of 51. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Melvin and Janet Morgan of Liberty, MS; his devoted wife, Letisha Smith Morgan; his cherished children, Bruce Richard Morgan II and Miranda of Columbus, TX, Samantha Brooks of McComb, MS, and Richard Dean Morgan of Liberty, MS. He is also survived by his siblings, Chrissy Morgan and Felicia Scroggs of Liberty, MS, Melvin Morgan II of Hoover, AL, Jason Slay of Summit, MS, and Chris Weaver of Oxford, MS.

Bruce was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He attended Amite County High School; Bruce worked as a logger and built a life around his passions and family. He was known for his vibrant personality, his love of joking and having fun, and his talent for cooking—spaghetti and lasagna were his favorite dishes. Bruce also enjoyed fishing and spending quality time with his loved ones.

A memorial service is scheduled for April 12th, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty, MS, Family will gather from 10am-11am and Friends are welcome to gather to pay their respects from 11am-12pm.
