Surrounded by her family, Canetti Blanche Whittington O'Brien, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was 76, born on January 4, 1943 in Amite County, Mississippi.

She is the daughter of Andrew and Myrtis "Beedie" Jones Whittington.

She was a retired school teacher, MEd from Louisiana State University.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years,  Julius Chancey O'Brien;  one son, Charles Mitchel O'Brien and wife Donna R;  two daughters, Andrea Carol O'Brien Wiltshire and husband Santos, and Toni Lynn O'Brien;  two granddaughters Chancee Marie O'Brien and Carol Maya Wiltshire; one sister Patricia Ann Whittington Walters and husband Luther; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Canetti was a devout Christian and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Graveside services were Friday, February 1, 2019 at the family Whittington Cemetery.
