DeLacy Bass, 74, lifelong resident of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her residence in Liberty.

She was born May 4, 1950, the daughter of Harry Herman Hays Sr. and Donnis Wilkinson Hays.  She was a secretary and bookkeeper for her husband Roger Bass, and a homemaker.

DeLacy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six siblings, Herman Hays, Grace Cockerham, Suzanne Cockerham, James Hays, Douglas Hays, and Marion Hays.

Surviving her are daughter Stacy Bass, son Stephen Bass, two grandchildren Madeline Bass and Ethan L. Bass, and three sisters, Mary Lou Griffin, Sarah Smith, and Carolyn Kinabrew.

Graveside services will be Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Blalock Cemetery in Liberty, MS. Services will be officiated by Rev. Shan Van Norman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Liberty Baptist Church Family Life Center Renovation Fund.
