Denver B. Evans Sr., 88, native of McCall Creek, MS. and resident of Central, La. passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. He was born April 23, 1932 the son of Prentiss Evans and Eula Hall Evans.  He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired pastor and retired Louisiana State Trooper.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Margaret "Lucille" Evans.

He is survived by three daughters, Darlene Wilson and husband Doug, Denise Kelly and husband Mike, and Tammy Kelly and husband Robert; one son Denver B. Evans Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; one brother Denson Evans.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Journey Church, 17407 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, La., from 10:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon at the church, officiated by Wayne Austin and Pastor Jay Coleman. Graveside services will follow at the V.A. National Cemetery in Zachary, La.
