Edward Lee Blalock, 66, of Gloster, MS passed away Thursday October 6, 2022 at Field Health System in Centreville, MS. surrounded by his family. Edward was the son of the late Zachary and Hazel Irene Hastings Blalock. He was a painter by trade and of the Baptist faith.

Edward is survived by his daughter Heather and 2 grandchildren; two sisters, Dianne Freemyer, and Carolyn Ann Embree (Mark); three brothers, Loyd Wayne Blalock, David Blalock (Baye), and Winston Blalock; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Quirk (Mike), Bill Freemyer (Dee), Chris Blalock (Stephanie), Wendy Blalock, and Betsy Blalock;  great niece and nephews, David Carraway, Cory Freemyer, Jaxxon Freemyer, Urijah Mason, Micheal Blalock, Zachary Blalock, Morgan Blalock, and Katlyn Blalock; and a very special friend Masie McNeil Forman.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Zachary and Hazel Irene Blalock; wife Cheryl Blalock; and grandparents, Geb and Hattie Blalock, and Clarence and Alma Hastings.

Visitation will be Sunday October 9, 2022, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 pm Sunday, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Lonnie Case. Interment will follow at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster, MS.
