Elaine W. Smith, of Gloster, Mississippi, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her children. She was 91, born September 1, 1927 in Amite County, the daughter of the late Ernest Bryant Wilkinson and Doll VanNorman Wilkinson. Mrs. Elaine worked a short time at the Gloster Telephone office. She married Robert Harold Smith and was a helpmate to him: a homemaker, wife, mother , and grandmother, and was a longtime member of Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church.  Mrs. Elaine was blessed with three children; her daughter, the late Patsy S. Adam, and her two sons, Michael Adam and wife Tammi, and their daughter Lily; and Robert Adam and wife Elizabeth, and their children, Jeremiah, Susannah, Ruth, and Joanna;   her daughter Judy Matte, and her daughter, Jamey Bachman and husband Ben, and their children Taylor Lynn and Katie Beth; and her son, Robert H. Smith Jr., his daughter Sara Froman and husband Cody, and their children Annalee and Dalton; her sister, Ernestine Lewis, and a host of Nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Bryant Wilkinson and Doll VanNorman Wilkinson; husband Robert Harold Smith; daughter Patsy Adam; and two brothers, Paul E. Wilkinson and Malcolm L. Wilkinson. Visitation is Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and Friday, from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Elder Harvey Bates and Elder Robert Adam. Interment will follow in Roseland Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Keith McGraw, Richard Lewis, Greg Wilkinson, Ben Bachman, Cody Froman, and Blaine Littlefield. I lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Plymouth Primitive Baptist Church of to a charity of your choice.
