Frances W. Mitchell, 86, a long time resident of Gloster, passed away Friday July 29, 2022 at the Wilkinson County Nursing Home in Centreville, MS.

She was born May 19, 1936 to Pearl Whittington and Myrtis Bass Whittington. She was a homemaker and a member of Royal Chapel Church.

She is survived by four daughters; Debbie Walters and Michael, Elizabeth Pendergraft, Wendy Thibodeaux, and Laurel Mitchell. One son; Gary Mitchell. Eleven grandchildren; Nikki Doyen, Steven Walters, Shelly Dunbar, Bri Richardson, Mark Pendergraft, Jeremy Pendergraft, Jenna Watts, Ty Thibodeaux, Dustin Mitchell, Renae Mitchell, Braileigh Elee, and Mitchell Sanders.

And several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. One brother; Harrell Whittington and Kay.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, husband; Soule Mitchell, two sisters; Thelma Etheridge and  Virgie Etheridge.  Five brothers; Gordie Whittington, Virgil Whittington, Linus Whittington, Richard Whittington, and Robert Whittington. Two son in-laws; Mark Randall Pendergraft and Terry Paul Thibodeaux.

Pallbearers ; Dustin Mitchell, Ty Thibodeaux, Mark Pendergraft, Steven Walters, Grant Pendergraft, and Michael Watts.

Honorary Pallbearers; Landon Watts, Dagan Walters, Jerry Allen, Mitchell Sanders, Jeremy Pendergraft, and Adam Watts.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 10:00AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Brown Home Chapel in Gloster, MS. Pastor Ken Satcher will be officiating.

Interment will be in the Collins Branch Cemetery.
