Francis Dennis Canova, 65, of Liberty, MS, passed away February 12, 2023, at Diversicare of Brookhaven with his family by his side.

Visitation is Friday, February 17, 2023 at East Fork Baptist Church from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Alton Foster officiating.   Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Liberty is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Canova was born March 31, 1957 In Centreville, MS. the son of Charlie Alex Canova Sr. and Christine Rosso Canova. Dennis was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He attended East Fork Baptist Church.

He became a nurse after working for Tembec for 28 years. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed studying the Bible. He was a college football player and an avid jogger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Ken Canova.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cissy Williams Canova; one daughter and son in law, Brittany and Darren Byrd; two grandchildren, Ken Byrd and Skylar Byrd; three sisters and brother in laws, Charlene Lolley, Cheryl and Steve Oman, and Chris and Lavon Driskell; and two brothers, Charlie Canova Jr. and Gene Canova and Carol.

Pallbearers will be Troy Brashier, Phil Canova, Chris Williams, Dale Williams, John Newman and Tim Wilkinson.
