James Glen Wilkinson, 89, of Liberty, MS., went home to be with his Lord surrounded by family on August 13, 2022.

He was born on July 4,1933 to Andrew Jackson Wilkinson and Charity Brantley Wilkinson. For 31 years he was a long shoreman at The Port of Greater Baton Rouge in Port Allen, LA where he retired. He was always helping anyone who needed help, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by four sons, James Darwin Wilkinson, Darron Lane Wilkinson, A.G "Sonny" Wilkinson and wife Yvonne, and Benjamin Wilkinson and wife Mallori:  one brother Don Wilkinson and wife Genny, one sister Norma Long: his longtime companion Eunice Bryant and his lifetime friend and mother of three of his children Shirley Gail Jeffries: and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson Wilkinson and Chairty Brantley Wilkinson; three sisters, Mildred Price, Joyce Hoover, and Margie Spillman; two brothers, Johnny Wilkinson and Adrian Wilkinson.

Pallbearers, Bryon Wilkinson, Preston Wilkinson, Nick Wilkinson, Joey Wilkinson, Logan Wilkinson, Tyler Wilkinson, and Donnie Wilkinson.

Honorary Pallbearers,  Deana Marie Wilkinson, Lance Wilkinson, Kandice Angelle Wilkinson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Gloster, MS., from 9:00AM until time of funeral services at 11:00AM Wednesday, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Brother Ellis Hollingsworth and Brother Blaine Stafford will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
