John Paul "JP" Whittington Jr. has passed away. JP was 43 years old, born April 5, 1980 in Centreville, MS. He was self employed as a tradesman and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents John and Myrtle Buie and paternal grandparents J.P. and Lemoyne Whittington.

He is survived by his parents, Jackie and Sue Whittington; one sister Tina Holland and Benji; one brother Justin Dawson and Erin; one son Cole Whittington; four nieces Korli Carr, Kaitlyn Crofford, Malarie Honea, Madison Dawson.

Visitation is Friday, July 21, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, from 12:00 A.M. to time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Zach Smith. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery., 7175 Bogue Chitto S.E. McCall Creek, MS. 39647
