Joyce N. Duck, 88, longtime resident of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at River Chase Village in Gautier, Mississippi.

She was born November 16, 1933, in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, the daughter of C.B. Hughes and Etoile Cosby Hughes. She worked in Liberty at Kellwood as a seamstress, served on the Amite County Electoral Commission, and was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Mrs. Joyce is survived by her daughter Becky Watts and Buddy; two sons Wayne Duck and Earlo Duck and Kathy; her daughter-in-law Rusty Duck; nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother Fred Hughes and Faye; two sisters Dianne Tuckier and Terry, and Sue Bullard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, C.B Hughes and Etoile Cosby Hughes; her husband Robert L. Duck Sr.; son Robert L. Duck Jr.; great grandson Sullivan "Sully" Watts; three brothers Duke Hughes, Dexter Hughes, and Jack Hughes; three sisters Montez Dunaway, Rae Bates, and Doris Reid.

Visitation is Friday, July 29, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, MS., from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Friday, at the church, officiated by Rev. Woody Rimes. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers are James Bates, Rocky Reid, Tommy Hughes, Cameron Watts, Jason Ducote, and Jimmy Hughes.
