Kimberlyn Steele Bateman Causey, 56, of the Busy Corner Community near Gloster, Mississippi, passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Kim was born in Centreville, MS. June 13,1967 to Raymond Steele and Sandra Davis Steele. She worked as an LPN for 20 years before retiring to enjoy life as a Nana. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Kim is survived by husband James Causey; son Brandon Bateman; two granddaughters Emma Bateman and Ella Nations; father Raymond Steele; two brothers Keith Steele and wife Janice and Jason Steele and wife Janet; two brother in-laws; John Causey, and Scooter Bateman and wife Jennifer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Kim is preceded in death by her husband Brent Bateman, mother Sandra Steele, sister Carla Steele Smallwood, and in-laws Doll and Linus Bateman.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Gloster, MS., from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:00pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Reverend David Whitehead and Brother Ellis Hollingsworth will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
