Lanell K. Sipes, sadly passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 89 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born in Liberty, Mississippi on September 22, 1934. She was a wonderful Christian woman and was loved by all who knew her.

Lanell was married to Bill Sipes, and they lived in Lockhart, Texas. She lived a very colorful life and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lockhart. After Bill passed away in 2003, Lanell moved to New Braunfels, Texas. In February of 2022, she moved to the Blake Assisted Living Facility in New Braunfels, where she always greeted  everyone with her charming smile, a wink, and her kind words.  Everyone loved and adored her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Clem Kirkland Sr; her mother Bessy Graves Kirkland; her husband Bill Sipes; and her sisters, Ruby Marriam Dolan, and Naomi Kirkland Lanier.

She is survived by her sons Jim Joynt and Sam Joynt; granddaughter Sedona Zamora; great grandson William Zamora; her siblings Ruth Dixon, Peggy Hall, and Dr. Clem Kirkland Jr., and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, MS. from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home., officiated by Bro. Jared Leonard. Graveside services will follow in Graves Cemetery.
