Linda Sue Carpenter Jackson, 71, of Smithdale, MS., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

She was born January 30, 1951, the daughter of Francis J. Carpenter and Ruth Irline Wilson Carpenter. She was a clerk in medical records for the State of Mississippi.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Billy Jackson; two sons Billy Michael Jackson and Tracy, and Allen Joseph Jackson and Marie; one daughter Angie Jackson Floyd and Greg; eleven grandchildren, Mandie Jackson, Alex Jackson, Billy J. Jackson, Ben Tucker Jackson, Taylor Lewis, Josh Jackson, Jordan Jackson, John Parker Jackson, Mattie Grace Floyd, Brittian Floyd, and Zach Floyd; three brothers Frank Carpenter, Walter Carpenter and Burma, and Joseph Carpenter and Kathy; one sister Ruth Gerik; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services are Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Mississippi, officiated by Pastor Corey Morris.

Pallbearers are Clay Bercegeay, Dwayne Jackson, Jeffery Fowler, Walter Carpenter Jr., Tyler Jackson, and Drew Noland.
