Mary Katheryn Geter Van Buren, 83, long time resident of Woodville, MS. passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at Field Health System in Centreville, MS.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pioneer Baptist Church.

Mary was born July 18, 1940 to Clifford Aubrey Geter and Etta Sanders Geter.

She is survived by four daughters; Anita Perry and Steve, Angel Tassin and Taylor, Amanda Van Buren and Bill Cazelot, and Lesa Ashley and Clifton; one son William Judson Ashley and Deidra; 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and expecting her first great- great grandchild; one sister Louise McKlemurry.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Clifford Aubrey Geter and Etta Sanders Geter, husband Errol Van Buren, daughter Karen Charmaine Geter, grandson Clifton Dewayne Ashley, great granddaughter Kailey Brooke Chappell, 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2024 at Pioneer Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Pioneer Baptist Church. Reverend Warren Whitaker will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville, MS.

Pallbearers are Rick Morgan Ashley, Judson Ashley, Daniel Ashley, Cody Van Buren, Robbie Chappell Jr., and Mitchell Chappell.

Honorary Pallbearers are Shawn Van Buren, Duncan Ashley, Trace Lamb, Jessie Allen Morace, Cayden Phillips, and Blayne Phillips.
