Mildred L. Morgan, 86, passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, Mississippi. She was a lifelong resident of Liberty, born June 19, 1932 in Amite County, the daughter of Lloyd and Gladys Callender. She was retired custodian at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Mildred is survived by two daughters, Verna Jackson and her husband Mark, and Donna Gurney and her husband Ikey; three grandchildren, Kyle Jackson and his special friend Gentry Cole, Yantze Jackson and his wife Mellisa, and April Roberts and her husband Jimmy;  special friend Bettie Rogers; five great-grandchildren, Christopher Jackson and wife Jordan, Emma Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Olivia Jackson, and Madeline Roberts; one great-great-grandchild, C.J. Jackson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Callender and Gladys Morgan Callender; four brothers, W.R. Callender, J.B. Callender, Lavirl Callender, and Franklin Callender;  two sisters, Lurline Callender, and Lillian Guice. Visitation is Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Liberty, MS. from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Interment will follow in Blalock Cemetery in Liberty.
