Mildred Lilly Wilkinson, 75, a native and lifelong resident of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her residence.

She was born May 17, 1946, the daughter of the late Clarence Oliver Lilly and Rebecca Johnson Lilly. She is also preceded in death by her husband Basil Harvey Wilkinson; one son James "Bruno" Wilkinson, one son in law Charles Trapani; three sisters, Lola Hall, Maudie Halford, and Lois Freeman; four brothers, James Lilly, E.C. Lilly, Jessie Lilly, and Donald Ray Lilly.

Mildred was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known to most as Granny.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Trapani, Jo Ann Russell and husband David, and Connie Whittington and husband Jason; seven grandchildren, Casey Latham and husband Jason, Traci Davis and husband Austin, Hunter Russell and wife Tiffany, Brodie Russell and wife Haley, Zack Russell, Brant Whittington, and Sadie Whittington; seven great grandchildren, Bethany Latham, Jason Latham, Brock Bankston, Ansley Russell, Wrenly Russell, Wayne Mallard, and Raelynn Mallard; and a host of family friends and her adopted children and grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2022, at Clay Hill Church near Liberty, MS. from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 3:00 P.M. at the church, officiated by Rev. Jason Whittington and Rev. Curtis Ready.  Interment will follow in Jackson-Wilkinson Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Hunter Russell, Brodie Russell, Zack Russell, Brant Whittington, Jason Latham, and Howard Wilkinson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Shad Perry, Cole Stevens, Austin Davis, and Floyd Bedford.
