Mona Rae Etheridge, 87, of Smithdale, Ms., passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville, MS.

She was born December 8, 1935 to Gettie James Hoffpauir and Mary Rose Comeaux Hoffpauir. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Laura Artmann and James, Nell Summers and Joe, Janice Wicker and Keith; two sons James Etheridge and Pat, and Ray Etheridge; eight grandchildren Jim Etheridge, Cory Wicker, Matthew Summers, J.T. Wicker, Aaron Wicker, Leslie Powell, Andrea Powell, and Brian Kiefer; daughter-in-law Anna Etheridge; and numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Quincy Etheridge, JR., and one son Bruce Etheridge.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, MS. from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon at Brown Funeral Home Liberty, MS.

Pallbearers are Jim Etheridge, Matthew Summers, J.T. Wicker, Aaron Wicker, Leslie Powell, and Seth Powell.

Honorary Pallbearers are Buddy Artmann, Cory Wicker, and Keith Wicker.

Interment will be at Plainview Cemetery, Liberty, MS.
