Nena Colleen Sterling, 86, native and lifelong  resident of Gloster, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her residence.  She was born in Gloster,  April 3, 1932, the daughter of Grover Cleveland Corban and Lois Willis Whittington Corban.  She was a homemaker and a member of the L.D.S. Church in Liberty, MS.   She married Wesley Paul Sterling who precedes her in death.

Along with her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by three children, Paulette Perry,  Malcolm Sterling, and John Paul Sterling;  two grandchildren, Bryan Perry and Amanda Perry; eleven siblings, John Corban, Robert Corban, Alton Corban, Lucien Corban, Joel Corban, Billy Corban, Lucille Zeigler, Earnestine Seale, Hazel Foster, Emma Bennett, and Eleanor Tallarico.

Mrs. Nena is survived by five children, Judy Zion, Janice McCurley, , Lesa Whitehead, Deidra Jackson, Nena Anderson;   eighteen grandchildren, Wesley Zion, Ricky Zion, Crystal Anderson, Larry McCurley Jr., David Sterling,  Nena Havard, Wesley Sterling Jr., Christopher Sterling, Tara Huff, Douglas Whitehead, Robert Jackson, Colton Jackson, Sydnee Anderson,  Haylee Anderson,  Theresa Sterling, Connie Johnston, Wesley Sterling, and Larry Sterling; and one sister Patsy Helmly.

Visitation is Friday, March 8, 2019 at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, from 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home, officiated by Bro. Bert Blalock.   Interment will follow at Mary Springs Cemetery.
