Norma Lee Hopkins Guthrie, 90, resident of Liberty, MS passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, MS. She was born in Harrisonburg, LA. November 13, 1928. She previously was a CNA at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, LA.  Mrs. Norma is survived by her son, James "Butch" Guthrie and his wife Chris; two granddaughters, Heather Payne and husband Josh, and Kelsie Guthrie; two grandsons, Joshua Guthrie and wife Sarah, and Army Private First Class David Guthrie and wife Amy; and six great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her father, James Owen Hopkins, mother Naomi Evans Hopkins; step-mother, Dollie Dimple Hopkins; brother James Lowell Hopkins; and step-brother Tony Lynn Hopkins.  Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena, LA. from 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chickasaw Cemetery in Summerville, LA.
