Rhonda K. Leahey, 68, of Liberty, MS passed away March 25, 2023 at Southwest Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, followed by a graveside service at Liberty Cemetery.

Mrs. Rhonda was born April 15, 1954 in Poplarville, MS, the daughter of T.C. and Mildred Smith. Rhonda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a friend to many. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

She was a cashier at Blalock's Food Center for 14 years, where she enjoyed working and becoming friends with the Blalock brothers and other wonderful people in the Liberty community.

Rhonda enjoyed spending time with her family, working, and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Judith Mckeithen and Alice Gilmore and one brother, James Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim Leahey, one son, Heath Leahey; two daughters and son-in-laws Amy Bradley (Ron), Leigh Anna Blalock (Matthew), and six grandchildren: Shaw Bradley, Shelton Leahey, Sawyer Bradley, Evanslei Blalock, Harrison Blalock, and Smith Bradley, one sister, Sue Ford and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Rhonda would like express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care that Montana Craft, Calista Forman, and Katoya Gibson gave over the last couple years of her life.

Pallbearers will be Ron Bradley, Shaw Bradley, Sawyer Bradley, Shelton Leahey, Harrison Blalock, Matthew Blalock, and Tony Clark.
