Life has to end. Love doesn't. His love will be in our hearts forever.

Kenneth Roy McKey 82, a member of local 1098 carpenter's union, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday February 18, 2023. He was born February 25, 1940 to Jack McKey, SR. and Maude Beasley McKey.

He was a native of Liberty, MS., and was a resident of Lakeview Manor in New Roads, LA. for the past year. Where he was loved and cared for by many staff members and residents. He loved playing bingo and visiting with the residents.

He is preceded in death by parents; Jack McKey, SR. and Maude Beasley McKey, his late wife; Sarah Whittington McKey, step mother; Hilda Whittington Hathaway McKey, a granddaughter; Leslie Powell Henry, siblings; Ivey Louis McKey, Mavis McKey Foreman, Norma Jean McKey Etheridge, Clinton Morris Hathaway, and Bobby Joe McKey.

He is survived by his children; Carolyn Rene McKey Colson and her sons; Jonathan and Jason Douqet, Greg McKey and his wife Mary McKey, their children; Dencil Powell III, Jennifer McKey Eccles, Ashley McKey Nettles, and numerous grandchildren. His siblings; Peggy Hathaway Rushing Jones, Janies Hathaway, Jack McKey, JR., Jerry McKey, Terry Wayne McKey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Whittington Cemetery on Thompson Road in Amite County, MS. Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time at 11:30 am at Whittington Cemetery
