Sharon Kay Dixon Caillouet, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, in Thibodaux, Louisiana, at the age of 81. Born on October 25, 1943, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sharon lived a life filled with compassion, adventure, and an unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Liberty, MS on Friday, May 16th from 1 p.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. conducted by Bishop Napoleon Ortiz followed by burial at the Dixon Family Cemetery.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucy Dixon; her brother, Jerry Allen Dixon; and her granddaughter, Sheree Thompson.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, Louis Caillouet; her sisters, Jimmie Lou Pearson of Tulsa, OK, and Tommie Sue Fontenot of Central, LA; and her loving children, Sonciare Bozeman (Steve) of Queen Creek, AZ, Dawn Thompson (Morton) of Zachary, LA, and Derrick Bizette (Lori) of Gilbert, AZ. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren: Maegan, Drew, Shana, and Chance Bozeman; Amber, John, and Joseph Thompson; Jordan Shaw-Bizette and Taylor Bizette. Sharon's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Mya, Makenzie, Emry, Wyatt, Harper, Jack, Rivers, Kaydence, and Bennett. She leaves behind numerous nieces, and nephews, extended family, and dear friends, who will miss her warmth and generous spirit.
A dedicated nurse for over 24 years, Sharon brought comfort and care to many during her career. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her love of reading, her passion for travel, and her constant curiosity about the world. Sharon was a planner and a dreamer, always organizing her next adventure or thoughtful gesture for someone she loved. Her deep devotion to her family and her kind heart left an incredible mark on everyone who knew her.
Sharon knew she was a child of God and was personally acquainted with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her life and brought her peace. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and found great strength and joy in her spiritual community.
Sharon's life was one of love, service, faith, and joyful exploration. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
