Sharon Byrd Terrell, a lifelong resident of the Brookside Community, north of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away at her residence April 3, 2025.
Sharon was born June 2, 1939 in Castor, Louisiana. She was the third of six children born to the late William Alvin "Dutch" Byrd and Vara Robinette Byrd.
She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1957. She was retired from USMW as an Officer Manager.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Hoyt Terrell; daughter Bobbie Lucinda "Cindy" Edwards; her parents; four brothers Douglas Alvin Byrd, Leslie Thomas Byrd, Jerry Lane Byrd, and Ronald Elmo Byrd; her paternal grandparents William Allen Byrd and Alice Lewis Byrd; and maternal grandparents Rev. Cleveland Elmo Robinette and Mary Lelia Ayres Robinette.
She is survived by two sons Warren Hoyt Terrell (Marilyn) and William Robert Terrell; one sister Lelia Howard; one sister-in-law Joyce Byrd; and one brother-in-law Carl Terrell (Carolyn); granddaughter Carolyn Naomi Edwards; four grandsons Hugh Daniel "Danny" Edwards Jr. (Jessica), Kyle Cobb (Kaylin), William Brandon Terrell (Madison), and Robert Blake Terrell (Taylor): great-grandsons Jakob Brian Callender, Hayden Daniel Edwards, Ian Andrew Edwards, Hunter James Terrell, and Colsen Cobb; great grand-daughters Naomi Marie Callender, Emmalyn Allyse Edwards, Britton Grace Edwards, Leighton Brooke Edwards, Evangeline Grace Terrell, Madelyn Cobb, Dallas Blair Terrell, Collins Blake Terrell, Finley Crawford, Phiffer Crawford, and Fallon Crawford; one great-great grandson Liam Jake Medina; and two special adopted children Brent Albritton and Linda Hart.
The family would like to give a special recognition to Susan Graves who gave her the care she needed the last several years.
Visitation is Sunday April 6, 2025 at Liberty United Methodist Church in Liberty, MS. from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and Monday, from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 10:00 A.M. at the church, officiated by Rev. Megan Reed. Interment will follow in Nunnery Cemetery.
