Sherry Lynn Johnson, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at her residence near Crosby, Mississippi.

She was born March 28, 1954, to Charles Cavin and Irene Hazlip Cavin. She was a resident of the Perrytown Community near Crosby and a member of the Perrytown Church of Christ. She was a registered nurse and worked at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, MS. for many years.

Sherry enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for family and loved ones. She spent many hours working in the garden and putting up vegetables. She enjoyed cooking for her family and always took food to someone when they were in need.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 52 years Bobby Johnson; son Wayne Johnson and wife Vicky; two daughters Stephanie Johnson, and Ginger Wimberly and husband Guy; grandchildren Scotty Johnson and wife Callie, Will Campbell, Justin Campbell, Sawyer Campbell, Wyatt Johnson, Kennon Johnson and wife Layla, Keira Wimberly, Kate Wimberly, and Lucy Wimberly; two great grandchildren Clare Johnson and Griffin Johnson; one sister Wanda Edwards and husband Jessie and one brother Charles Cavin Jr. and wife Holli; a very special Christian friend Dawn Thurman; and a sister by another mother Janet Curtis.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Irene Hazlip Cavin, a son Randy Johnson, and her mother and father-in-law A.J. and Inez Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Landon Bigner, Justin Freeman, Will Johnson, Adam Perry, Dan Perry and Clifton "Scooter" Torrey. Honorary Pallbearers are James Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Kevin Longmire, Mike Perry, and Butch Thurman.

Visitation will be Friday January 30, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, MS. from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Visitation Saturday is from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. David Pryor and Bro. John Bryant. Graveside services will follow at Day Cemetery near Crosby, officiated by Bro Kevin Campbell.
