Sybil Deloris Stansell was born on October 7 th , 1956, in Baton Rouge LA, and departed this earth and joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday August 25 th , 2022, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bernice Penton, her sister Victoria Carol Penton, and her brother Victor Harold Penton.
While on this earth she was and still is a beloved Mother, Aunt, Sister, Daughter, Granny, and GiGi. Sybil was a hard worker, loved her family fiercely, and lived her life to the fullest. She was a beloved Band, Theatre, ROTC, and FFA Mom. All her children's' friends also considered her their second mother. Her heart and door were always opened. Sybil never missed an event or activity for any of her children. She was always first to volunteer to help and roll up her sleeves, and you always knew where she was in the stands. Sybil fought and gave it her all until the very end and she will be missed greatly.
Sybil is survived by her six children, Theresa Stansell of Joshua, TX, Charles Bennett Stansell II of Salina, KS, Leesa Richard and her husband Shane Richard of Walker, LA, Melissah Shows and her husband Adam Shows of Liberty, MS, Jasson Stansell of Dallas, TX, and Braddley Stansell and his wife Amelia Stansell of Stephenville, TX., her grandchildren Carly, Caden, Xander, T-Rex, Keerah, Rory, James, Gracie, Samuel, Beckett, and one due in January. Sybil is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, 4 sisters, and 1 brother.
Funeral Servics will be held Saturday September 3 rd , 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 213 East Blalock Circle Liberty, MS., Visitation: 10:30 – 12:30 and Services at 1:00, with the graveside services to follow at the Penton Family Cemetery on Pepperhouse Rd in Centerville, MS.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to help pay for momma's medical bills. Please send any donations to Venmo @Leesa-Richard.
