Thomas LaVere Jackson, 80, longtime resident of Amite County, Mississippi, passed away

Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was born July 23, 1941, the son of Woodrow Wilson Jackson and Ella Pearl Cooper. He worked as a plumber for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Mert Jackson and Ricky Jackson.

He is survived by his wife Helen Jackson; two sons, Thomas L. Jackson Jr. and Laverne, and Bruce W. Jackson and Sandra; seven grandchildren, Brandon Tyler Jackson, Raven T. Ready and Levi, Melissa C. Longmire, Felicia Scroggs and Chrissy Morgan, Bruce Wayne Jackson Jr., and Emily Ann Jackson, Kimberly Scroggs and Bill McDavid; two great grandchildren, Trevor James Morgan and Josiah Dell Ready; two brothers, Mark Jackson and Verna, and Monterry Jackson; one sister Glenda Jackson and Rafael Nowicki; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; a special friend Terry "Slick" Temple; life long friend Hansel Bass; and his second family Busy Corner Hunting Club.

Graveside services are Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Jackson Wilkinson Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jason Whittington.
