Obituary

  • Thomas Joseph Walsh, 64, of Woodville, MS., passed away Thursday, April 22,2021, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS. He was born May 13, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Thomas Walsh Sr. and Theresa McGuire Walsh. He is of the Catholic Faith, and was a business owner for many years. Tom was hard-working, loving, loyal, funny, great listener and advice giver. His love was always constant and unconditional. He loved his friends and family genuinely and whole heartedly especially his only son T.J. The lengths Tom would go through for the ones he loved were out of this world. He was a remarkable man and our family's greatest inspiration. He will be missed dearly. I leave you with this, don't grieve for me, for now I am free. I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. My life's been full, I've savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He Set Me Free.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Joseph Walsh III; daughter Kathleen Walsh; his mother Therese McGuire Walsh; three sisters Margaret Walsh Buchte, Kathleen Walsh Antonacci, and Mary Walsh; two brothers, John Walsh and James Walsh, and Tom's extended family Heather Domingue, Nancy Morales, and Brittany Lane.
