Vera M. Prestridge, 89, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at  Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.  She was born June 15, 1928 in Simmesport, Louisiana, the daughter of Samuel R. Norwood and Maude Bordelon Norwood.  She was a bookkeeper, and a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church in Liberty.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Kit Prestridge of Ridgeland, MS.  one step-daughter Jean Chappell, one step-son Charles Prestridge, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Vera is preceded in death by her parents,  Samuel R. Norwood and Maude Bordelon Norwood, and her husband Ralph M. Prestridge.

Visitation is Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Liberty Presbyterian Church in Liberty, MS. from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at the church, officiated by Rev. Walt Gaston and  Rev. John Evans.  Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, Mississippi.
Pallbearers are Greg Barron, Aubrey Blalock, Ricky Stratton, Randy Caston, Derrick Dahl, and Charles Prestridge.
