Priest
d. Mar 1, 2026
Wilhelmina "Meme" Rebecca Nobles Priest, 93, departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in her home in McComb, MS surrounded by family.
Meme was born November 12, 1932, to Jeanette Laura Burris Nobles (Causey) and John Buren Nobles in Perry County, MS. in the small community of Runnelstown which was established by her great grandfather in the early 1800's.
Meme attended elementary school in Runnelstown and graduated from Gloster High School in 1950. She then attended University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated in 1953 with a dual degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education.

She followed the path of her mother and taught high school and junior high math for 25 years in Amite and Wilkinson Counties. After retirement she and her husband, Tad, started and operated M&T Logging after his retirement from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemicals in 1982.
She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and teacher. Her passion was her yard and flowers, and she also had a special love for hummingbirds. Meme also spent an immense amount of time reading and studying the Word as well as making her way through her prayer book each night. She also had a special place in her heart for her church's mission programs, especially Operation Christmas Child. Meme was a long-time member of Centreville Baptist Church until moving to McComb in 2023 where she moved her letter of membership to West McComb Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, her stepfather, retired USN Captain Lewis Dean Causey, her husband and the love her life, Tad, daughter-in-law Melanie Priest, two grandsons Jeffrey Priest and Hunter Priest, and her oldest son Harry Lee Priest, III.
